RING

Morphing, resonant 48-band filterbank

Last updated 1 day ago

Filter Device

The RING device offers everything from traditional filtering to experimental resonating effects and animated modulation. Each filter's resonance can be increased to craft metallic tones or soothing, harmonic textures when quantized to a scale. Morph the entire filter bank for dynamic, evolving sounds, or skew individual filters to shape and balance the incoming signal with precision.

Parameters

CUTOFF Controls the cutoff frequency of the filter bank.

RESONANCE Adjusts the resonance of the cutoff frequency.

PITCH Adjust the pitch of the entire filter bank in semitones. The range goes from -24 semitones to +24 semitones.

SLOPE Morph the filterbank between low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filtering.

TONE Skews the frequency response of the filterbank, to amplify high frequencies and attenuate low frequencies in positive values, and vice versa in negative values.

SCALE Quantises the position of the individual bands to the specified scale. The default is CHROMATIC, ensuring the filterbank will replicate the incoming signal.

WET Controls the dry/wet of the device.

WAVES Increase to modulate the amplitude of the individual bands in a sine wave pattern. Values above 65% percent will increase the frequency of the sine wave pattern.

NOISE Control the amount of amplitude modulation applied to individual, random bands in the filter bank.

TILT Adjust the response of the resonating bands when DECAY is applied. Positive values will increase the resonance decay of the high bands while attenuating the low bands. Negative values will do the opposite.

DETUNE Increase to apply modulation to the position of the individual bands at a fixed rate. Also applies stereo spread.

Actions

This device has no actions.

DECAY Increase the resonance of the individual bands in the filter bank to create ringing frequencies.

WAVES R. Controls the rate of the WAVES modulation.

NOISE R. Controls the rate of the NOISE modulation.
