# USB Mass Storage Mode

The S4 can be connected to a computer using **USB Mass Storage Mode**. In this mode, the S4 appears as a standard drive on the computer, allowing for easy transfer of samples and entire projects. It also enables backing up data or extracting recordings made on the S4.

1. Connect a compatible USB cable between the PC / Mac and the S4 USB-C connector.
2. Tap **\[CONFIG]** to open the configuration page of the S4.
3. Navigate to the **SYSTEM** menu.
4. Select the **USB MASS STORAGE** option.
5. Tap **\[YES]** to enter USB Mass Storage Mode.

If no USB connection is detected, a notification will appear on the display. Re-connect the S4 with USB and try again.
