# Factory Reset

To completely reset the S4 a factory reset can be made directly on the machine. Factory resetting the S4 will remove all user samples and projects.

1. Tap the **\[CONFIG]** button to open the config menu.
2. Use the **SELECT** knob or the action buttons to navigate **SYSTEM**.
3. Tap **\[OPEN]** or press the **SELECT** knob to enter the **SYSTEM** submenu.
4. Navigate to the **Factory Reset** option.
5. Tap **\[OPEN]** or the **SELECT** knob to initiate the Factory Reset process.
6. Confirm the reset when prompted.
