Managing Volume and Track States

Last updated 1 day ago

All four tracks of the S-4 are combined in the final audio stage in a project. In the Mix View volume, panning and filtering per Track can be adjusted. The Mix View also allows for launching and muting individual Tracks, as well as applying compression to the final output of the S-4.

Opening the Mix View

  • Tap the [MIX] button to open the Scene View

Parameters

LEVEL The upper four encoders regulate individual track level.

FILTER DJ style filter that adjusts the incoming audio for each individual track:

PAN The upper four encoders regulate individual track panning.

COMPRESS Amount of compression applied to the main output.

MAIN Adjusts the main output level.

Configuring Track Launch State

Each track can be individually configured to follow the global play state of the S-4. Unlike traditional mute functions, this allows for more musical control when starting or stopping tracks, as the trailing effects of the device chain remain audible even after a track is stopped.
