MOSAIC

Rhythmic granular processing with 64 grains

Last updated 1 day ago

Granular Device

MOSAIC lets you reshape audio in real time, with up to 64 grains per track in a 4-second buffer. Sculpt and twist your sound with a mix of precise control and unexpected textures. Build evolving, intricate soundscapes by controlling grain shape and size, embrace per-grain randomness to keep things unpredictable or use the device as a live audio arpeggiator.

Parameters

SIZE Adjust the size of the individual grains. This parameter is controlled in beats related to the Global Tempo.

CONTOUR Shapes the amplitude envelope of grains. At the center position, the envelope forms a smooth sine curve. Negative values skew the envelope into a downward ramp, while positive values shape it into an upward ramp.

WARP Controls the amount of fluctuation in the playhead position. Increasing this parameter causes the playhead to move randomly in smooth motions.

SPRAY Adds random modulation to the playhead and stereo spread of grain.

PATTERN Applies random modulation to the PITCH parameter. PATTERN uses a fixed pseudo-random sequence, that is unique to each instance of MOSAIC.

WET Controls the dry/wet of the device.

DETUNE Controls the amount of random detuning per grain in stereo.

RAND RATE Apply random modulation to grain rate at a per-grain basis.

RAND SIZE Apply random modulation to grain size at a per-grain basis.

SOS Controls the amount of incoming audio to be recorded into the 4-second buffer.

Actions

This device has no actions.

PITCH Controls the pitch of the grains.

RATE Controls the rate of grains.
