Scene Launch Quantization
Any Scene that is launched on the S-4 is quantized by default. The quantization is adjusted via the QUANTIZE parameter in the Scene View. The QUANTIZE parameter has different parameter modes to set the desired quantization. Modes like STRAIGHT, TRIPLET, DOTTED and FREE is available here, like on other similar time-based parameters.
However, the QUANTIZE parameter in the Scene View also features two other modes:
SAMPLE END: This mode will quantize the launching of Scenes to the end of the sample loaded in one of the four tracks, which can be set after choosing this Parameter Mode for QUANTIZE.
OFF: Off will bypass quantization entirely, and will also bypass the ability to launch chained Scenes.
Program Change
Scenes can be launched externally using MIDI Program Change . Learn more about Program Change.
