## Scene Launch Quantization

Any Scene that is launched on the S4 is quantized by default. The quantization is adjusted via the **QUANTIZE** parameter in the **Scene View**. The **QUANTIZE** parameter has different parameter modes to set the desired quantization. Modes like **STRAIGHT**, **TRIPLET**, **DOTTED** and **FREE** is available here, like on other similar time-based parameters.

However, the **QUANTIZE** parameter in the **Scene View** also features two other modes:

* **SAMPLE END:** This mode will quantize the launching of Scenes to the end of the sample loaded in one of the four tracks, which can be set after choosing this Parameter Mode for **QUANTIZE**.
* **OFF:** Off will bypass quantization entirely, and will also bypass the ability to launch chained Scenes.
