ADSR

Envelope generator

Last updated 1 day ago

Modulator

The ADSR modulator brings familiar envelope control to any parameter on the S-4. Triggered by MIDI or via the integrated action button, it allows you to sculpt modulation over time with classic attack, decay, sustain, and release stages.

Parameters

ATTACK Attack time of the envelope in seconds.

DECAY Decay time of the envelope in seconds.

SUSTAIN Sustain level.

RELEASE Release time of the envelope in seconds.

ATT CURVE Adjusts the curve of the attack stage of the envelope. 0% is linear, negative values makes the envelope logarithmic and positive values makes the curves exponential.

DEC CURVE Adjusts the curve of the decay stage of the envelope. 0% is linear, negative values makes the envelope logarithmic and positive values makes the curves exponential.

REL CURVE Adjusts the curve of the release stage of the envelope. 0% is linear, negative values makes the envelope logarithmic and positive values makes the curves exponential.

SPREAD Phase shifts the modulation in the stereo-field.

Actions

SELECT Opens the modulator selection list.

TRIG Triggers the envelope.

Triggering The Envelope

There are two ways to trigger the envelope:

  1. Using [TRIG] action button.

  • Press [TRIG] to initiate Attack stage and keep holding to continue Decay stage

  • Release button to initiate Release stage

  1. From an incoming MIDI Note on the tracks MIDI Channel.
