Considerations for Powering the S4

S4 is powered using the dedicated 12V AC to DC power supply. The S4 will automatically boot when plugged via the power supply.

In general, it is impossible to give details for each connected device but there are some specifications to consider.

• S4 standalone power and general consumption: 1A, 12V (12 Watt)

• S4 powering a connected Torso Electronics T-1: 1.2A, 12V (14.4 Watt)

• S4 + max current draw from USB port: 1.5A, 12V (18 Watt)

• The current limit for powering external devices via S4’s USB is 1A, 5V

S4 cannot be powered by the USB port. It can however power other devices from its USB port.

Standby Mode

• Tap and hold the SELECT encoder for 2 seconds

• Tap [YES] to enter Standby Mode

• Tape the SELECT encoder to exit Standby Mode

Note that exiting Standby Mode on the S4 performs a soft reboot, and will not return to the previously opened project.
