Modulation

Modulation lets parameter values change over time without requiring step-by-step programming. Instead of manually placing every variation, you can let the T1 move a parameter automatically in a musically meaningful way.

Because modulation is tempo-synced, it stays locked to the groove and remains rhythmically coherent. This makes it useful both for subtle movement and for more obvious transformation.

Two Main Modulation Approaches

The T1 has two main modulation systems:

PageDescription
LFO ModulationPattern-based modulation for predictable, repeatable movement.
Random ModulationPseudo-random looping modulation with controllable variation.

These two systems serve different purposes:

  • LFO Modulation are useful when you want motion with a recognizable, repeatable shape
  • Random Modulation is useful when you want variation that feels more organic, shifting, or less predictable

Together, they let you choose between structured motion and evolving variation.
