What's New in 2.1
Version 2.1 expands the T1 with better backup workflows, improved harmonic tools, more flexible FX Track behavior, and a broad set of stability and usability improvements.
For the complete release history, see the Changelog.
Highlights
Project Save/Load in T1 Config
You can now save and load complete T1 states directly from the T1 Config application.
This makes it easier to:
- back up full projects
- restore a previous setup
- move a setup between machines
- share complete T1 states
See Project for the full workflow.
Loading a Project replaces the current contents of the T1 with the contents of the selected project file.
Hold Mode
Hold Mode lets you latch notes from either the T1’s internal keyboard or an external MIDI source.
This is especially useful for:
- sustaining harmonic material on FX Tracks
- playing live input into generative structures
- holding notes while shaping rhythm and modulation
New Voicing Styles
Version 2.1 adds two new Voicing Styles:
- Up/Down
- Climb Up/Down
These make it easier to create more animated chord movement and arpeggio-like patterns from the same note pool.
Per-Parameter Random Lock
Random sequences can now be locked per parameter.
This makes it possible to:
- keep a random sequence you like on one parameter
- continue evolving other parameters independently
- build more controlled combinations of stable and changing modulation
Expanded FX Track Routing
FX Tracks now support more flexible MIDI input behavior, including:
- Omni
- Same
- Fixed
There is also an active Track filter, making it easier to control which Tracks receive MIDI input.
Improvements
Version 2.1 also includes a range of workflow and behavior improvements, including:
- faster save and load times
- CC autosave in Tracks
- Tempo saved and loaded with Banks
- Tracks in FX mode continue running while the T1 is stopped
- optional output of incoming CC and Pitch Bend from T1
- improved value button range when working with CCs
- Random Rate and Time no longer follow Division
- clearing Pitch returns the root note
Stability and Fixes
The 2.1 series also includes many fixes and refinements, including improvements to:
- Pattern quantization with SYNC IN
- CC transmission behavior
- loading Banks that use the new Voicing Styles
- crash handling in latched views
- Program Change behavior for Banks 9–16 on MIDI Channel 2
- note handling in alternative scales across Cycles
- analog clock start/reset behavior
- Pattern switching while playing
- Track delay and Cycle timing behavior
- Repeats Time randomization
Minor Updates in 2.1.1–2.1.3
After the initial 2.1.0 release, additional maintenance updates improved stability further:
- 2.1.1 fixed a crash when tapping a knob after changing Track in latched view
- 2.1.2 fixed loading of Banks that use the new Voicing Styles
- 2.1.3 fixed Pattern quantization when receiving SYNC IN and corrected duplicate CC transmission during playback
