Voicing & Style

Voicing sets how much movement is applied to the selected chord shape. Hold [CTRL] to access Style, which chooses the motion pattern in either polyphonic or monophonic mode.

Together, they let you create anything from subtle chord variation to more animated arpeggio-like movement.

All styles use the same basic voicing movement: the lowest note can be moved up by one octave, or the highest note can be moved down by one octave. What changes from style to style is how that movement is played over time. Fixed means no motion and simply plays the chosen voicing. The other styles move between the original chord and the shifted voicing in different motion patterns.

How Random modulation applies to Voicing:

  • Clockwise: +/- voicing amount
  • Counterclockwise: +/- voicing amount and select random style
  • Unit: Random Rate

See the Random Behavior Reference.

Setting Up a Style

There are several different Voicing Styles available on the T1. These styles define how the voicing moves over time. Each style comes in two variants:

VariantDescription
PolyphonicNotes play simultaneously.
MonophonicNotes play one at a time, similar to a classic arpeggiator.

The direction of a Voicing Style is set using [VB8] for upward motion and [VB16] for downward motion.
