Range & Phrase
Range sets how much pitch variation is applied to the selected Track. Hold [CTRL] to access Phrase, which selects the melodic pattern used for that variation. Together, they let you create movement and evolving melodies within the chosen Scale.
Knob Behavior

Value Button Behavior
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Push | Set the Range amount directly using the [VALUE] buttons. Use [VB8] and [VB16] to adjust the Phrase length. |
| [CTRL] + Push | Select a Phrase directly using the [VALUE] buttons. |
| [CLEAR] + Push | Reset the selected parameter to its default setting and clear randomization. |
How Random modulation applies to Range:
- Clockwise: +/- range amount differently for each note in the chord
- Counterclockwise: +/- range amount equally for each notes in the chord
- Unit: Random Rate

Phrase Length
The Phrase length defaults to 4 bars.
- Press [VB8] to make the Phrase shorter.
- Press [VB16] to make the Phrase longer.
- Available lengths are shown below:

Applying Range to a Track
- Select a Track.
- Turn (RANGE) to adjust how much pitch variation is applied.
- Hold [CTRL] and turn (RANGE) to select a Phrase.
- Optionally press a [VALUE] button to set the Range amount directly.
- Use [VB8] and [VB16] to shorten or lengthen the Phrase.
- Hold [CTRL] and press a [VALUE] button to select a Phrase directly.
- Press [CLEAR] + [VALUE] to reset the selected parameter to its default setting and clear randomization.
