Project

The Project menu in T1 Config is where you manage the complete T1 state.
A Project includes:
- all 16 Banks
- the Patterns and Tracks inside those Banks
- the related saved settings associated with that overall state
Use the Project menu to:
- save the current Project to your computer
- load a previously saved Project back to the T1
- enable or disable Auto-save
- perform a Factory reset
This makes the Project menu the main place for full-device backup and restore.
Loading a Project overwrites the current contents of the T1 with the contents of the selected Project file.
Factory reset erases all user data on the T1, including Banks, Patterns, auto-saves, and settings.
Project Save/Load
Use Save and Load to back up the complete Project and restore it later.
This is different from saving or reloading a single Bank on the device:
- Bank save stores one Bank state inside the current Project
- Project Save/Load stores or restores the complete T1 state

Save
Use Save to download the current Project from the T1 and store it on your computer.
- Connect the T1 to your computer and open T1 Config.
- Open the Project menu.
- In Project Save/Load, press Save.
- Choose where to store the Project file.
- Wait for the transfer to complete.
The Project is saved locally on your computer as a compressed file.
Use clear file names that include the project name and date, especially if you keep multiple backups of the same setup.
Load
Use Load to send a previously saved Project from your computer back to the T1.
- Connect the T1 to your computer and open T1 Config.
- Open the Project menu.
- In Project Save/Load, press Load.
- Select a previously saved Project file.
- Confirm that you want to continue.
- Wait for the transfer to complete.
After loading, the T1 will contain the complete state from the selected Project.
Loading a Project replaces the existing user data on the T1. Make a backup first if you want to keep the current state.
Transfer Behavior
During a Save or Load operation, T1 Config shows transfer progress so you can follow the process.
- Save receives Project data from the T1 and stores it on your computer
- Load sends Project data from your computer to the T1
Wait until the operation has finished before disconnecting the T1.
Auto-save
Auto-save controls whether the T1 continuously stores your current working state while you work.
When Auto-save is enabled:
- changes are saved automatically during normal use
- the current working state stays up to date without requiring manual save steps for every edit
- the previously used Bank and its working state can be restored after restart
When Auto-save is disabled:
- automatic saving stops
- existing auto-saved working state on the T1 is erased
- you should manually save any important Banks before restarting the T1
This can be useful if you prefer a more deliberate workflow, but it also increases the risk of losing in-progress edits.
Important behavior
If you disable Auto-save, T1 Config shows a confirmation dialog before continuing.
This warning exists because disabling Auto-save also clears the current auto-saved working state from the T1.
Before disabling Auto-save, manually save any important Banks you want to keep, and create a full Project backup if the complete T1 state matters.
Factory reset
Factory reset erases all user data from the T1 and returns it to a clean user-data state.
This includes:
- Banks
- Patterns
- auto-saved working state
- settings
Use Factory reset when you want to:
- start over with a clean device
- remove all current user data
- prepare the T1 for a different user or setup
- clear the device before restoring from a different Project backup
Confirmation
Because this action is destructive, T1 Config asks for confirmation before continuing.
Factory reset cannot be undone. Save a Project backup first if you want to keep the current state.
Recommended Workflow
A safe workflow is:
- Open T1 Config.
- Save a full Project backup if you may need the current state later.
- Decide whether you want to load a Project, disable Auto-save, or perform a Factory reset.
- Confirm the action only after you are sure you want to continue.
- Wait for the operation to finish before disconnecting the T1.
This helps avoid accidental data loss.
Best Practices
- Save a Project before major editing sessions or firmware updates
- Keep separate backups for rehearsals, live sets, and studio versions
- Name Project files clearly so they are easy to identify later
- Make a backup before loading an older Project onto the T1
- Leave Auto-save enabled if you want the safest day-to-day workflow
- Save a full Project backup before disabling Auto-save
- Save a full Project backup before using Factory reset
- Use Factory reset only when you truly want to erase all user data
