T1 Config Home menu

The Home menu in T1 Config is where you check the currently installed firmware version, look for updates, and upload new firmware to the T1.

Use it to:

  • view the current firmware version
  • see whether a newer firmware version is available
  • search for firmware updates
  • upload new firmware to the T1

What You Can See in Home

In the Home menu, T1 Config shows:

  • the current firmware version installed on the T1
  • whether a newer firmware version is available
  • an update button used to search for updates and begin the upload process

This makes it easy to confirm that your T1 is up to date before rehearsals, performances, or major editing sessions.

Checking for Updates

  1. Connect the T1 to your computer using USB-C.
  2. Open T1 Config.
  3. Go to Home.
  4. Press Search for update.
  5. If a newer firmware version is available, T1 Config will show the new version and let you continue with the update.

If no update is available, your T1 is already up to date.

Installing a Firmware Update

  1. Connect the T1 to your computer using USB-C.
  2. Open T1 Config and go to Home.
  3. Press Search for update.
  4. If an update is found, start the firmware upload.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions in T1 Config.
  6. Wait until the update has fully completed before disconnecting the T1.

During the update process, T1 Config displays progress so you can follow the upload.

Do not unplug the USB-C cable while a firmware update is in progress.

Important Preparation

Before starting a firmware update:

  • disconnect all cables from the MIDI TRS ports
  • keep the USB-C connection in place for the entire update
  • avoid interrupting the update once it has started

These steps help ensure a smooth and reliable firmware upload.

After Updating

After a successful update:

  • the T1 will be running the new firmware version
  • you can verify the installed version again in Home
  • you can continue using the T1 normally

If you rely on a specific setup, it is a good idea to save a full Project backup before performing major updates.

See Project.

If Something Goes Wrong

If the update fails:

  • close the update window
  • reconnect the T1 if needed
  • reopen T1 Config
  • try the update again

Make sure:

  • your internet connection is working
  • the USB-C cable remains connected
  • the MIDI TRS ports are unplugged during the update process

Best Practices

  • Check for updates before important sessions, not in the middle of one
  • Save a Project backup before installing a major update
  • Let the update finish completely before disconnecting the T1
  • Verify the installed version after updating
