DEFORM
Dual-band distortion with adaptive noise following
DEFORM is a dual-band distortion tool blending analog-style overdrive, bit crushing effects, compression, and noise-following algorithms. The noise generator conforms to incoming audio, with controls for intensity, decay, and filtering. Blend the effect with the original signal for anything from subtle warmth to extreme destruction.

Parameters
DRIVE: Adds overdrive to the incoming signal.
COMPRESS: One‑knob compression controlling threshold and ratio at fixed attack and release times.
CRUSH : Applies bit‑crushing effects.
| Parameter Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| BIT CRUSH | Bit-depth reduction with an internal feedback circuit. |
| REDUX | Sample-rate reduction with jitter noise. |
| BIT CRUSH/REDUX | Combination of bit-crushing and sample-rate reduction. |
TILT : Adjusts the balance of the bands. Positive values attenuate the low band and amplify the high band, and vice versa. Parameter modes adjust the crossover frequency of the two bands.
| Parameter Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| LOW | Crossover at 80 Hz. |
| MID | Crossover at 650 Hz. |
| HIGH | Crossover at 2.5 kHz. |
NOISE : Controls the amount from the envelope‑following noise algorithm.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| WHITE NOISE | Full-spectrum noise with equal energy across frequencies. |
| PINK NOISE | Default noise algorithm; equal energy per octave. |
| DUST | Gated white noise producing textured, click-like bursts. |
NOISE DECAY: Sets the decay time of the envelope follower.
NOISE TONE: Controls the cutoff frequency of a band‑pass filter applied to the noise.
WET: Controls the dry/wet mix of the device.
